PEA (Economically Active Population)

It is the population that exercises paid activity in accordance with the law.

In developed countries the assets are predominantly the adult population, while in the underdeveloped both young and old work together with adults.

Informal economy

According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), the informal economy consists of activities organized on a non-capitalist basis.

It covers self-employment and small businesses where there is no separation between business capital and family equity. Most of the time, employees are not protected by laws or social rights.
